Hot Spot Alert! Gorgeous Bar-Restaurants You'll Want To Visit In Amsterdam- Part 1
Life is never boring in Amsterdam! This is a city where stylish bars and restaurants open on a weekly basis, offering diverse culinary experiences in gorgeously designed spaces with buzzing vibes.
So where should you go to next you ask?
This blog is the first in a series of three showing you the newest trendy additions in Amsterdam you'll want to have on your radar.
Starting you off with ZA Amsterdam!
ZA Amsterdam is the newest addition to the upcoming and very trendy Houthavens district in Amsterdam. On the menu Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist and unusual desserts.
They feature a private ‘art room’ for private dining as well as a beautiful cocktail bar where you'll find extensive options for beautiful and colorful drinks and a great wine list.
I love the interior design here; it screams sophistication and elegance. From the color choices to the fabrics and the velvet chairs, the marble tabletops, brushed brass details to the oak wood paneling.
We enjoyed the ambiance while having the best Cosmopolitan in town, and of course, the food was something to brag about too!
Thursday is a special day at ZA; it's champagne evening! Alongside the champagne, you can enjoy music by DJ and electric violin player Katya Gabeli, and she will blow you away! Another point in her favor is the fact you can enjoy the music and still chat with your friends without having to scream over the music. A rare occasion indeed!
The chef was very accommodating and created a dish for me that was not on the menu which was very refreshing. In most places they are not flexible, they don't like to change anything about their dishes. I truly appreciated this gesture!
Shared dining is central here so we ordered and shared the Tabbouleh of hand-rolled couscous, the tuna, a handmade pasta dish, hummus with focaccia and last but not least a pizza. In one word: Yummy!
Every third Sunday of the month ZA hosts a special Sunday brunch; experience an afternoon with live music, exquisite drinks, and signature dishes.
Last but not least, the service! Many people, in general, complain about the level of service Amsterdam has to offer. Personally, I would have to disagree with this statement, and visiting ZA will make anyone rethink this all together. The service was wonderful! We couldn’t believe it when the server mentioned she’s only been working there for a week!
