Neni Amsterdam - For Your Mediterranean Cravings!

Welcome To Neni Amsterdam

Neni has become one of my favorite hangouts in Amsterdam when I'm in the mood for Eastern Mediterranean food, aka the flavors of my homeland, Israel!

The restaurant is located in Amsterdam Zuid. It has three sections: a large dining area, NENI Deli, and The Lemonman lounge on the top floor. I love the styling and color choices made here as well as the addition of plants and green throughout. Neni is cozy and laidback, yet it has a buzzing atmosphere. The staff is energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, and offers quick service.

The food is beautiful, diverse, and ever-changing. All in all, this hotspot is a great ambassador for Mediterranean cuisine! There are delicious items to choose from on the menu and if this is your introduction to Mediterranean food, you won't be disappointed. It will leave you wanting MORE!

My favorite must-have starters each time I visit are hummus, tahini, and labneh; labneh is yogurt cheese served with olives, olive oil, zaatar, and sumac. Their mazes are a guaranteed party in your mouth!

More tasty goodies on the menu are the popcorn falafel, baba ganush salad; an eggplant salad served with olive oil), and the spicy caramelized eggplant.

There is a good selection of meat dishes too, for example, the overnight pulled lamb and the Jerusalem plate; the latter consists of roasted chicken, sweet peppers, onion, fresh herbs, hummus, and tahini..

I do love my hummus!

Take a FOOD WALKING TOUR in the famous Albert Cuyp market in Amsterdam. During this walking tour, you can enjoy delicious local food while learning more about Dutch culture through its cuisine. You will also taste local draft beer!
