Tel Aviv: 5 New Hotspots And 3 Things You Should Do

5 New Hotspots And 3 Things You Should Actually Do

Tel Aviv is one of those cities where the list changes almost as quickly as the city does.

A restaurant you bookmarked six months ago may already have changed hands. A new bar appears in a neighbourhood you thought you knew. And somehow there is always another place everyone is suddenly talking about.

Here are five newer spots I'd put on your radar right now, plus three things I think are worth doing when you want to experience the city in a different way.

🍴 5 NEW(ISH) TEL AVIV SPOTS

01. DOT

πŸ“ Neve Tzedek

When even the Kardashians have been here… πŸ‘€

DOT sits in a beautiful preserved building in Neve Tzedek, combining contemporary European technique with influences from the chef's Jerusalem roots and a distinctly Tel Aviv atmosphere. It's elegant without feeling like you've walked into a restaurant where you're afraid to move the cutlery.

The kitchen focuses heavily on seasonality and local ingredients, with chef Dotan Shalom behind the menu.

MTT TIP:
Come hungry and dress like you're going somewhere nice, because you are. And yes, the Kardashian connection is a fun little conversation starter 😏

02. LOBBY 34

πŸ“ Nahalat Binyamin

Dinner? Drinks? Why choose? 🍸

Lobby 34 is a new gastro-bar in the heart of Nahalat Binyamin, created by people who clearly understand that Tel Aviv dinners don't always end when the plates are cleared. The concept sits somewhere between restaurant and nightlife, which, let's be honest, is exactly where Tel Aviv likes to live.

MTT TIP:
This is one I'd put on the list when you want dinner that can turn into drinks without changing locations.

03. PEREH

πŸ“ Nahalat Binyamin

Israeli food with a little attitude 🌢️

Pereh is tucked into Nahalat Binyamin and serves modern Israeli food with seasonal ingredients, sharp drinks, and a lively, urban atmosphere. The menu moves between Mediterranean and European influences, with the kitchen led by chef Aviad Feld.

MTT TIP:
Book ahead. This is a small place and the good tables go quickly.

04. BAR PRONTO

πŸ“ Herzl 4

Pronto is back. Sort of 🍝

If you knew the old Pronto, pay attention. The iconic Tel Aviv address has returned as Bar Pronto, with a new team and a more relaxed, bar-bistro approach while still nodding to its Italian roots. The new spot opened in 2026, with chef Moshiko Gamlieli behind the kitchen. Think Italian influence, pasta, small plates, drinks, and a much less formal attitude.

MTT TIP:
If you've been to the original Pronto, go partly for the nostalgia. If you haven't? Go because it's one of the city's newest reinventions.

05. GEORGE & JOHN

πŸ“ The Drisco Hotel, American-German Colony

Put on something nice. This is not your hummus-on-the-beach dinner πŸ˜‚

George & John is inside The Drisco Hotel in the historic American-German Colony and has long been one of the city's more polished dining experiences. The setting alone is worth knowing about, but the restaurant is really about a more refined take on Israeli and Mediterranean ingredients.

And if you're looking for a proper date-night dinner, this is the sort of place I'd have in mind.

MTT TIP:
Come hungry, take your time; this is dinner, not a pit stop. On the pricey side.

🌴 3 THINGS TO DO IN TEL AVIV

01. TAKE A GRAFFITI + FOOD TOUR

Art, snacks, and absolutely no boring museum audio guide. 🎨

Start in Florentin, follow the street art, hear the stories behind the walls, and continue towards Levinsky Market for food tastings. There are currently guided tours combining graffiti with Levinsky Market tastings, including Israeli wine and a seriously international collection of food.

02. WALK FROM TEL AVIV TO JAFFA

Start with the beach. End somewhere with 4,000 years of history 🌊

Start around Tel Aviv's seafront and walk south. Pass the beaches, promenade, and old port before reaching Jaffa, with its ancient streets, galleries, flea market, and spectacular views back towards Tel Aviv.

Don't make it a race.

Stop for a drink at the Satai Hotel.

Stop because you saw something interesting. That's the whole point.

MTT TIP:
Do this late afternoon and stay for sunset. Then find somewhere in Jaffa for dinner. You're welcome.

03. DO TEL AVIV LIKE A LOCAL: MARKET β†’ BEACH β†’ BAR

The unofficial Tel Aviv triathlon πŸ˜‚

Morning:

Levinsky Market.

Afternoon:

Beach. LALA Land or La Mer Beach clubs

Evening:

Drinks. Dizengoff is always fun!

And somewhere in between, wander through Neve Tzedek or the White City.

Tel Aviv is one of those places where you somehow had three coffees, ate something you hadn't planned on eating, went swimming, bought something you didn't need, and ended up having drinks with people you met that afternoon.

That's Tel Aviv. ❀️
