The Marineterrein is a historic part of Amsterdam dating back 350 years, it was constructed in the Golden Age to build ships for the Dutch East India Company's fleet. Recently however the area has been split between the Ministry of Defense and the municipality of Amsterdam. It underwent a big transformation making it now home to innovative media companies and a hotel. It offers the public another place to chillax in, a restaurant, a small park, and water access!

The inner harbor is perfect for swimming, it's also a place where you have the freedom to jump in and just have water fun safely!
Not many people are aware of this development. During the warm summer days, it is great to have an option to cool off. You will have s p a c e to chill, grab a bite, and all right there in the city center!
The restaurant ‘Pension Homeland’ is part of a vintage hotel located on the left side of the complex.
