I love me a High-Tea party! Luckily, High Tea is becoming ever so popular in Amsterdam. This afternoon delight was an English tradition to start with dating back to the 19th century. Beginning typically with the upper class who serve tea and cake at 16:00, so they have something to tide them over until dinner is served.

This afternoon tea has since been elevated into a complete tea party. High tea includes a selection of both savory and sweet treats, such as scones, elegant tea cakes, pastries, delicate sandwiches, and pies paired with a marvelous selection of teas. High-tea is a fun outing to enjoy with your gal squad and family.

High Tea at the Waldorf Astoria This hotel is where you go for an elegant and chic experience! This legendary hotel is gorgeous, situated on the UNESCO heritage-protected Herengracht otherwise known as the Gentlemen’s Canal. We have celebrated here on several special occasions with the family, and it was wonderful!
High Tea is served in the Peacock Alley overlooking a private garden, they offer beautiful combinations of exciting colors and flavors that change seasonally. For example, November was inspired by Choices By DL jewelry collection from Debora Leeser.
Patissier Vipin Charly and Executive Sous Chef Tomas Bron created gleaming jewels that look deceptively real, the chocolates and bonbons are exact replicas of original gemstones. December is inspired by the holiday festivities.

High Tea at The Duchess We can’t talk about High Tea and not mention this hotspot! Located just behind the Royal Palace, in one of the best-kept historic gems of Amsterdam, the former KAS Bank building. The Duchess offers traditional London hospitality in an elegant setting, overlooking the water. We had a colorful afternoon indeed! I loved all my pink elements but especially cotton candy!

High Tea at the Amstel Hotel High Tea is a long-standing tradition here. The afternoon tea is served in the lounge, and it’s simply a high-end culinary delight! All the savories and sweets are homemade and are to die for!
My favorite high tea experience here was a collaboration with BULGARI when they launched their new perfume. The goodies coming out of the kitchen were simply sensational, in form and taste.

High Tea at the Conservatorium Hotel High tea here is always artistic, offering contemporary yet elegant themes. The last time I had high tea here the theme was Van Gogh; a collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum.
It was beautifully done, not to mention delicious, true artwork! Both sweet and savory dishes had bright exotic colors, unique flavors, and textures but the true beauty was in the details.
