Museums

Visit the Zeitz MOCAA This is a fascinating contemporary art museum of Africa and its diasporas, the South African version of the Tate museum if you will.

The Gangster Museum This is a fun and interactive museum unlike others you’ll visit. This unusual place aims to shade light and show other more positive sides to Cape Town’s most gangster-ridden communities. It’s both educational, moving, and very inspirational!

Park

The Company's Garden is not just a park, it’s also a heritage site located at the heart of the city. It’s beautiful and tranquil, a green lung in the middle of the bustling city. And my favorite part? Feeding the cute squirrels who live here, they are definitely not afraid of people either. At the entrance to the park, you can buy food bags for them.

Sightseeing

Explore the Castle of Good Hope This is a bastion fort dating back to the 17th century. This castle was declared a historical monument and is considered the best-preserved example of a 17th-century architectural structure in the entire world!

Visit BO KAAP: It’s the most colorful, iconic, rich with history and folk spirit spot you’ll find here. This colorful neighborhood located on the slopes of Single Hill has a sad past as this was formerly a township for slaves.

The pastel & bright colors which we associate normally with positivity, happiness, and joy were actually used as an expression of freedom. MUST VISIT!

Activities

A day at the beach: Camps bay is my favorite beach however, you can’t go wrong with any other beach you choose as they are all beautiful!! If you are in Camps Bay, once you’re done sunbathing, chilling in the waters, or just taking a walk to admire these beautiful views go have a drink or a meal across the street in one of the many restaurants and bars overlooking the ocean.

Bonus Tip! Visit the tidal pools, these are natural pools filled with ocean waters. Cool experience though ice-cold lol
