Pestana CR7 Hotel In Funchal, Madeira~ My Review
The Pestana Group is the largest Portuguese tourism group owning around 100 4 & 5-star hotels and resorts worldwide, the majority of hotels being in Portugal. They are famous for their hotels' beautiful designs, professional services, luxury, and unique experiences overall created for their guests.
My first time staying in one of the Pestana hotels was after the group teamed up with legendary Cristiano Ronaldo, opening together with him the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotel on Madeira. This island is Ronaldo's birthplace. It was perfect timing as I was in the process of planning a trip to this spectacular island. I chose to stay at this amazingly cool hotel located in the marina of Funchal, the capital city of the island.

For football fans, it's a no-brainer! The hotel guests get FREE admission to the CR7 Museum attached to the hotel. I guarantee you that it will BLOW your mind!
This is the best spot in Funchal to enjoy sunset parties and the views of the boulevard.

Location
The Pestana CR7 is a 4-star hotel located in Madeira. The football star lived on the island until he was drafted as a teenager to play football for Sporting Lisbon, the rest as they say is history! The city of Funchal is beautiful! The city center is rich with history, greenery, it is filled with fun activities to do and amazing views!
The hotel has the ideal location ~ only 300 meters from the marina, always a plus in my book! Situated in the center of Funchal, in front of the cruise port, everything is with walking distance from the hotel.

This is a unique lifestyle hotel offering a colorful and contemporary design. My favorite thing? Throughout the hotel, Ronaldo's lifestyle and love of football are showcased. From room and hall design resembling the pitch, for example, to food tips in the restaurant, to the small gym on the rooftop highlighting Ronaldo's favorite and recommended daily exercises to stay fit and healthy.

There are different room styles for you to choose from, all rooms will have comfort and contemporary design in common. I stayed at the CR Room: The room was very spacious, cooly furnished with touches of Ronalods personality such as the sketches hanging on the wall. I loved the Rainshower! It always feels so luxurious, wouldn't you say? You will also find Selfie-approved mirrors, 48" HD TV, an android or Apple TV, and even a yoga mat!

Hotel facilities
The rooftop was my favorite area to spend time on as that is where the rooftop infinity pool is, along with the sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi. I also did do my daily workouts there using the outdoor gym. There are a bar and lounging area perfect for taking a load off, having a drink, and taking in those amazing views day or night.

Food
The CR7 Corner restaurant served food and drinks throughout the day and evening, including breakfast. The menu includes traditional local dishes, healthy salads, hamburgers, and wood-fired pizza. At the bar, you can enjoy beer, wine, and cocktails. Some evenings you can dance the night away to the DJ party tracks. Drinks are also served on the rooftop.

My conclusion
My stay at this hotel was amazing; the hotel is beautiful and I especially loved the amenities on the rooftop, it is very comfortable with amicable staff eager to assist you with anything you need to enjoy Funchal and the island to the max. Everything was within walking distance, the views were intoxicating…All is all I recommend you add Madeira to your bucket list!
